Prof. Dr. Frede Blaabjerg

Professor in Power Electronics, Villum Investigator, Aalborg University, Denmark

Frede Blaabjerg (S’86–M’88–SM’97–F’03) was with ABB-Scandia, Randers, Denmark, from 1987 to 1988. From 1988 to 1992, he got the PhD degree in Electrical Engineering at Aalborg University in 1995. He became an Assistant Professor in 1992, an Associate Professor in 1996, and a Full Professor of power electronics and drives in 1998 at AAU Energy. From 2017 he became a Villum Investigator. He is honoris causa at University Politehnica Timisoara (UPT), Romania in 2017 and Tallinn Technical University (TTU), Estonia in 2018. His current research interests include power electronics and its applications such as in wind turbines, PV systems, reliability, Power-2-X, power quality and adjustable speed drives. He has published more than 600 journal papers in the fields of power electronics and its applications. He is the co-author of eight monographs and editor of fourteen books in power electronics and its applications eg. the series (4 volumes) Control of Power Electronic Converters and Systems published by Academic Press/Elsevier. He has received 38 IEEE Prize Paper Awards, the IEEE PELS Distinguished Service Award in 2009, the EPE-PEMC Council Award in 2010, the IEEE William E. Newell Power Electronics Award 2014, the Villum Kann Rasmussen Research Award 2014, the Global Energy Prize in 2019 and the 2020 IEEE Edison Medal. He was the Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON POWER ELECTRONICS from 2006 to 2012. He has been Distinguished Lecturer for the IEEE Power Electronics Society from 2005 to 2007 and for the IEEE Industry Applications Society from 2010 to 2011 as well as 2017 to 2018. In 2019-2020 he served as a President of IEEE Power Electronics Society. He has been Vice-President of the Danish Academy of Technical Sciences. He is nominated in 2014-2021 by Thomson Reuters to be between the most 250 cited researchers in Engineering in the world.

Prof. Dr. Huda Bt Haji Ibrahim

Huda is a Professor at School of Computing (SOC), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) since 2017. She is currently a senior research fellow and a committee member of Board of Governance for Institute for Advanced and Smart Digital Opportunities (IASDO), a CoE at UUM). Previously, she served the University as a Dean of School of Computing from 2011 to 2022, and as Assistant Vice Chancellor College of Arts and Sciences, UUM from 2017-2022. She has been appointed by a few universities including UTM, UTEM, USIM, UKM, UiTM, UNIMAS, UNITEN and UTP as an external examiner for PhD students as well as an external examiner/evaluator for their academic programme. She was also a visiting Professor at Al-Bukhary International University (AIU) (2022) and University of Karabuk, Turkeye (2023). Her research interests is in technology transfer, Innovation, Information Sharing, Smart City, and Digital and Community Development. She has secured numbers of research grants at International level including Asian Development Bank, ERASMUS+ KA2 CBHE, ERASMUS+ Mobility KA107, International University Matching Grant, as well as national level grants such as from Ministry of Higher Education and Industries (FRGS, MCMC, NCIA, DreamEdge Sdn Bhd, and Telekom Berhad). Currently she is a member of the Association of Information System (AIS), Malaysian Chapter of Association of Information System (MyAIS), and Majlis Profesor Negara.

Asso. Prof. Dr. Mohammad A. Razzaque

Mohammad A. Razzaque (Raz) is an Associate Professor (Research & Innovation) in the School of Computing, Engineering and Digital Technologies, at Teesside University. Before joining Teesside University, he worked as a Senior Research Fellow at Trinity College Dublin (2014-2017) and Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Computing, University Technology Malaysia (2011-2014). He is an expert in cybersecurity, secure AI, generative AI and end-to-end (sensors-to-cloud) IoT solutions, and his research and development are centred on cybersecurity, secure AI and IoT. He has successfully published over 75 peer-reviewed research works (with an h-index of 30 & citations over 4k), including many Q1 journal papers (e.g., IEEE Sensors, IEEE IoT, Nature Scientific Reports) and a book in these areas. He is active in funding applications and has secured over £1M (approximately) worth of funding as the PI or a Co-I. Currently, he is working on secure machine learning, especially cybersecurity of generative AI and generative AI for cybersecurity, collaborating sensing for unmanned vehicles, and applications of generative AI (e.g., chatGPT, GPT). Besides, he is supervising/co-supervising nine PhD students at Teesside University. He holds a PhD in distributed systems (i.e., Wireless Sensor Networks, Mobile Adhoc Networks) from the School of Computer Science and Informatics, U.C.D., Dublin (2008). He also holds an M.Sc. & B.Sc. (Hons) in Electronics and Communication Engineering, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Asso. Prof. Dr. Murad A. Rassam

Murad A. Rassam is an Associate Professor at Faculty of Engineering & Information Technology, Taiz University, Taiz, Yemen. He received his master in Computer science (Network Security) and his PhD in Computer science (Information Assurance and Security) from University of Teknology Malaysia on 2010 and 2013, respectively. His research interests include network security, Internet of Things security, WSN security, VANETs Security, and the application of machine learning and deep learning techniques to security issues. He has been involved in organizing several international conferences and being the general chair of eSmarTA2022 which has been held at Ibb University. Moreover, he has been a keynote speaker for several international events. Dr. Murad is one of the founders of Yemen Research, a Yemeni organization for science and technology research responsible for conducting seminars, workshops and conferences inside Yemen and over the world. He is an IEEE Senior member, MIRLabs member, and served as an editorial board member and guest editor for many international journals. Dr. Murad has a teaching experience for more than 18 years as tutor, teaching assistant, assistant professor and associate professor and has also supervised and examined several master and PhD theses.

Ali Nagi Nosary is an Assistant Professor, Faculty of Engineering, Sana'a University. His research interests are in signal processing pattern recognition, artificial intelligence and coding. He has been working as an ICT consultant at the ministry of telecommunications and other ministries. He was nominated as Director General of Yemen Telecom (PTC) from august 2007 to march 2012. Through this position, was the Chairman of Yemen Mobile, vice chairman of TeleYemen, board member of the Post Authority during that period.

Dr. Ebrahim Alareqi is a Principal Machine Learning Engineer at Incorta in Foster City, CA. Prior to his current role, he was a Staff ML engineer at Volvo Cars R&D Tech Centre in Sunnyvale, CA. He holds a Ph.D. in Computational & Data Enabled-Science and Engineering, an M.S. in Computer Science with a High-Performance Computing focus, and a B.S. in Computer Science. He is a technical reviewer for several IEEE journals and conferences in Machine Learning & Big Data and was on the planning committee for the ACM/IEEE Supercomputing Conference.
